The Man-Eating Snake was a huge serpent capable of swallowing a person whole. Its home on Plunder Island was marked with a 'Snake X-ing' sign and a plaque reading:
"Massive, Man-Eating Snake. This fantastic reptile is one of Plunder Island's most dangerous and beautiful predators".
It has alread eaten old phone books, a stuffed Dinghy Dog, an Encyclopedia, a spare tire, some Naturalist remains, Pancakes and Pancake syrup, Eggs, Sausage, Coffee, a Faberge Egg, vacuum cleaner attachments, some Top-secret plans and of course a Chicken Shoppe Reservation Slip. When Guybrush Threepwood wandered into its home, the snake swallowed him but was forced to throw him back up when he fed it some Syrup of Ipecac.
