Murkel Trenchfoot was a pirate among Captain McGillicuttys crew.

Along with Killick Hardtack, he was entrusted to bury the Noble Seahorse Summoning Artifact on Spoon Isle. After escaping from The Siege of Spinner Cay, Guybrush encountered Hardtack and Trenchfoot on Brillig Island, trying in vain to dig up their treasure.
