Artist depiction of El Pollo Diablo
El Pollo Diablo or The Devil Chicken, was a legendary demon of the fowl persuasion, rumored to have made it to Plunder Island where he went about destroying chicken pens in order to set his brethren free. It was believed that he resided in the island's dense jungles, capturing and killing the humans found to have eaten his smaller kin.

Description[]
The Voodoo Lady knew of his existence, and with great detail. When asked by Guybrush Threepwood, she described him as "El Pollo Diablo, the Giant Demon Chicken! Tall as a man and twice as powerful, his massive drumsticks propel him through the dark jungle with ease. No one has seen the Beast, but on the eve of the full moon... ...his blood-curdling squawk can be heard from every corner of this wretched island. In the dark of night, he roosts patiently... watching... waiting... for the one day...He roams the island, exacting terrible vengeance on those who would capture and eat his smaller brethren".
Guybrush scoffed at her story, to which the Voodoo Lady replied that there were "..others like you, skeptical to the true nature of the Beast... ...but they're all dead now, pecked into a bloody pulp by his savage beak".
Sightings on Plunder Island[]
When Guybrush Threepwood was tarred and feathered by the Pirates of Danjer Cove, he was mistaken for the devil chicken wherever he went. Only Captain Blondebeard was brave enough to take him down.

- According to the Curse of Monkey Island Hintbook, the dialogue option that Threepwood chose when appearing as El Pollo Diablo was the one in which he speaks Spanish.
