Guybrush Jr. was Elaine Marleys pet bloodhound on Booty Island.
He was named after the pirate Guybrush Threepwood because he had a knack for finding her possessions, was otherwise fairly useless and had a habit of getting in the way.

Threepwood took advantage of this skill when he had the dog sniff out a piece of the Map to Big Whoop.
